Kym attended Midwestern State University and the University of Texas at Arlington. She obtained her master of science in nursing from West Texas A & M University and practiced as a family nurse practitioner for 10 years prior to obtaining a post graduate certificate to practice as a psychiatric nurse practitioner. Kym has dual certifications from the American Nurses Credentialing Center and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She was recognized at UTA for "Outstanding Clinical Performance".
Shelly is a North Texas native. She was born in Vernon, Texas where she spent her early years before moving with her family to Burkburnett where she graduated from Burkburnett High School. Shelly has 3 children, Chase, age 23 and 19-year-old twins, Cameron and Coleton. Shelly loves spending time with her family and being outdoors.
Dr. Wieck joined Red River Hospital in 1996 after attending medical school at the University of Texas Medical School in Galveston, Texas. He completed his residency at the University of Texas Southwest in Dallas, Texas in general psychiatry and child/adolescent psychiatry.
Dr. Wieck's experience includes twenty years of private psychiatric practice, entailing a specialty in assessment and medication management. He is affiliated with the Texas Society of Psychiatric Physicians and the American Psychiatric Association.
